Novomatic and Merkur Confirmed for London Casino & Gaming Expo

The line-up for the London Casino & Gaming Expo is taking shape with a pair of industry heavyweights confirming that they will be in attendance.

Novomatic and Merkur are among the headliners for the event, which is set to be held at the city’s ExCel Centre from January 14-16.

Inspired Entertainment and EFCO are also confirmed as being present at the expo, which has been booked for just ahead of the ICE Barcelona gathering.

Unlike a lot of other similar events that take place around the world, the London Casino & Gaming Expo will purely be focused on land-based casinos.

This allows the event to target a niche within the sector, which has been increasingly focused on online casinos over the past decade or so.

However, with the calendar already being full of casino and gambling industry events, it remains to be seen whether or not the London Casino & Gaming Expo can attract a high level of interest.

A ‘Natural Lead-in’

Show chairman Martin Burlin said in an interview with InterGame he expects the London Casino & Gaming Expo to get 2025 off to a flying start for the industry:

“The industry is well used to coming into London for the main gambling event each year. They like the shows, the shopping and the whole British experience. Our EAG already has a European pedigree and it has always contained an element of the gambling industry. That is a natural lead-in to the casino business as some of the manufacturers deal with both sectors.”Martin Burlin, Show Chairman

Associated Products Also on Show?

While machine manufacturers look set to take pride of place as the main exhibitors at the event, other areas such as CCTV, signage and recruitment, and training and payment systems, could also be covered.

According to show ambassador Nick Harding, this is something that will help the London Casino & Gaming Expo to earn a spot in the calendar. He said:

“We are of course delighted that the machine manufacturers are keen to be in from the start and they will clearly form the backbone of the show. But we also want to see a welter of exhibitors there who will supply what the industry would probably term ‘associated products,’ applications that are nevertheless vital to a casino… There is space for all of them and the opportunity for them to stand out so much more in a bijou event.”Nick Harding, Show Ambassador

Harding suggested more big names from the world of land-based casinos will soon be confirming their attendance to join Merkur and Novamatic at the show.

“This is just the start. There is a whole group of companies on the cusp of signing up for the show and we will release their names as they are confirmed.”Nick Harding, Show Ambassador
